Busy times

   Dear all,
we are very thankful for this busy period in our lives.  As hard as it can get,  it also felt blessed and lead by God in many situations we were in.

We are looking forward to Easter and in this time we are remembered of the gift we got from Him.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope  through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. “  1 Peter 1:3

Peter Thorlund
As from the 20th of February Peter Thorlund  from Denmark joined our team for three months. We are blessed having him with us cause he’s a young and cheerful guy eager to help and work for the Kingdom of God.

A team of Ukranians  from  YWAM was in Niksic for a month. They were helping in church and with student ministry. They did a lot of practical work joining the soccer matches we organize,  helped  the Petkovski’s with moving to a new house, being part of our regular meetings at EUS etc.

From the 17 th-27th of March a team from the Bible school in Denmark blessed us with their visit and helped with student work. We organized a three day Danish corner at the University, Danish night, hanging out at the office, small concert  at a local bar. The Danes were hanging out on daily basis with some of the students, taking them out for coffee, walks or bible studies. We got to meet some new students who are now joining us for Bible studies and coffee.

During their time here we had a visit from  Alexander Fink, director from the Institute of Faith and Science with whom we organized, with other Christian organizations, two talks in Podgorica that lasted from 19-22h. We are thankful to God that both of the talks were visited by students and others and we had interested talks with people afterwards. Alexander also gave a small talk that was more based on questions and answers at the EUS office in Nikšić. As the students are interested in this topic we are hoping we can make more of these events in the future.

Right after the Danish Bible school and Alexandar Fink we continued our trip to Bar for the Balkan Stuff Consultations. BSC is always a good time to be refreshed and encouraged. Alexander Fink and David Ivaska were our main speakers.

We had the chance to display some of our books at the Book fair in Podgorica with the Brotheren church (PG) and in that way to be present there as EUS. Our students and workers had interesting talks with people. We are hoping that next year we could be part of the Fair again and do something more interesting.

Our students were invited to be part of the KFS (Danish student movement)  Easter conference in Denmark. Andjela (student), Ivana (student), Peter (worker) and Danijel (worker) were part of it. It was a new and interesting experience for Andjela and Ivana to be part of such a big event where many students and highschoolers get together. They surely came back with many interesting stories to tell.

         Prayer requests:
  • ·         For the new students who are coming to our meetings and we are in contact with. That God can work in the lives and despite many obligations they have at University and in their regular lives to find time for God and getting to know Him better.
  • ·         For us as a team and personally: that the Lord will give us time for rest, patience  and passion to continue working for the Kingdom.

We wish to all of you a blessed Easter and time with your families and friends.  As we say here: Hristos Voskrese :)
