Now, it has become time for us to share the last weeks progress in our work with students here in Montenegro. Every week, we see how God is working in students hearts in his own timing and speed. It makes us stand in awe for the King of Kings. He truly want people of this country to turn to him. Do not become weary! A couple of weeks ago, at our weekly team meeting, we were studying a passage from the bible; Mark. 5,1-20. It became a great encouragement for us:                         „They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones. When he saw Jesus fro

Since last blog, our work really settled and every day life is rolling. However, many good things are happening and we are full of excitement and joy over being able to share the gospel with students in Niksic. Student meetings Since last blog we have hosted three student meetings. At one student meeting, we had invited Jeff Buxton from Bar to come and inspire students to create good CVs when their in the future want to apply for jobs. In daily life, Jeff runs a company together with his wife, Jennifer. Still this way of optimizing your chances to get a job is new in this culture and therefore we wanted to provide this chance for students to learn. The next two meetings were more traditional and classic. Danijel was leading an evening where we looked into the question: Am I good enough for Heaven? And the week after, Pete pointed us to the topic: The value of life. Both topics were created after the questionnaires we did at the first event at the university and they create

Finally, we are back here on the blog after the summer vacation! We look forward to share the beginning of this school year with all of you. Sowing seeds in Niksic To one of our team meetings a couple of weeks ago, we were studying the gospel of Mark 4, 1-20. Something that really touched us regarding our ministry with students, but who has applications to all christians too. Jesus tells a parable to a large group of people who has gathered around him. It is about a sower, who sow seeds in different soils: along the path, rocky places, among thorns and in the end some fell on good soil. The seed only grows well in the good soil, while it quickly dies in the other kinds of soils. As with all other parables, Jesus uses this story, to show an example of how his word works and how different responses to it will be. Later on in the text, Jesus explains the parable to his disciples in the following way: "Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as

By being in the beginning of a new month, we look back on July with great joy in our hearts. It has been full of teams, camps and follow up and the intensity of our programme can not be neglected, but God has been working in so many marvellous ways. Therefore, the intensity has only veen in the best way, for God has over and over again shown his goodness through reaching people's hearts and minds by his Spirit. God indeed wishes to be in relationship with every single person and in all this we experience that he guides us in which steps to take next. God's goodness has indeed be a theme the last month. He is good and faithful to us every single day where he gives out of his love no matter which circumstances of good and bad we have in our everyday lives. We want to give thanks to him through Psalm 136, 1-3 + 26 in the Bible. "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the L

With only two students meetings left before our summerprogram starts, we will look back on a blessed and intense month. Maybe many students are very busy studying for the final exams of this semester, but that doesn’t mean that we are doing less. However, before doing that we want to share something regarding the basic truth from the gospel, that stands out for us in our daily lives in the ministry with students and has been in focus for us even more the last week. It is the last recorded words from Jesus in the gospel of Mathew. He says: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go an make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Mathew 28, 18-20).   The last blog pointed on the fact from the Easter, that Jesus gave his life, so we never need to lose it! However, d
