The latest news!

We want to start this blog with the amazing words from 1. John. 1, 1 - 4:
"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched - this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete."
These words clings in our hearts and thrives us in our daily lives. God's word is alive! The bible proclaims many places (E.g. John 1) Jesus as the incarnation of the word of God. He is not only the incarnation of the word - he is God himself. 1/3 of the Trinity! God promised salvation and redemption in the Old Testament and those promises is full filled through Jesus Christ. He was and is the one who gives life - eternal life. He, who didn't had sin in him, could take all of it upon him. He took all the wrath of God because of our sin upon him because he had such a great love to us. He wanted us in eternity with him. He wanted to give us life and freedom not only in eternity, but right here and right now. Therefore, we can use the same words as John used in his letter in the Bible. We want to share, what we have heard, what we have seen with our own eyes and what we have touch with the students. We want to see them enter the fellowship with the Father and the Son. We desire and burn to see their joy become complete by the students giving their life to God. We want to called students to open their bibles and meet the God above all Gods!

Preparing the way for the summer

These days, we have Jimmy Compton, director of our summer camp "Camp Monty", visiting us here in Montenegro. Last week, we used the opportunity to invite different students to a social evening, where Jimmy prepared pulled pork. It was such a good and relaxed evening where we all got a chance to spend some good qualify time with each other.

Conversations, fellowships and food.
All you need for having a good evening together.
Otherwise, Jimmy is preparing with the rest of our team for the summer's many sports and language activities; meeting various different people and trying to run a good run while he is here, so children and young people can hear about the act of Jesus Christ in the summer.

Please, do pray for not only Camp Monty this summer, but for many different activities we have over the summer months, proclaiming who God is and what he has done!

Student meeting: Why do I have to go to work?

At our latest students meeting we had the great honor of having Prof. Dr. Davis as a guest speaker from USA. He was giving a talk upon the topic: "Why do I have to go to work - a biblical view of the balance between work and rest.

Davis is a cofounder of Institutional Service Group, LLC Carej Consulting, LLC. Both companies are engaged in business consultations with a focus on healthy finances and banking links. He completed a Ph.D in International Development at Southern Mississippi University. He is currently teaching Economics, Entrepreneurship and Finances at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for elementary and Master studies. He is also an administrative member of a research firm dealing with finance and economics.

Davis was giving some key reflections upon why we are called by God to work: To honor and glorify him. That God is shaping us and transforming us to look more like him through the word he has giving us.

This evening, we didn't just have students coming but invited professionals to join us too. Amazing to experience that we could reach out to a broader group of people in our town. At the end of the evening, the participants were sharing and discussing the perspectives share by Davis.

Students as well as professionals listening
to Prof.Dr. Davis while sharing about working and resting
and purposes in that.
